What is Juniper?
Juniper is a UK digital weight-management service operated under the Juniper brand by companies within the Eucalyptus group. Juniper Technologies UK Limited operates the website and handles marketing and payments, while clinical and pharmacy services are provided by Fill Function UK Limited.
The service is primarily app-based. It combines prescription weight-loss medication, where clinically appropriate, with clinical support, tracking tools, nutrition and exercise content, and a member community. Juniper also offers specialist health coaching as an optional add-on rather than as a standard inclusion for every member.
Juniper is positioned mainly around women’s weight management, although its current UK website also contains services and assessments relevant to men.
What is included in the programme
Juniper’s current UK programme combines prescription medication, where clinically appropriate, with app-based clinical support, tracking tools, nutrition and exercise content, and a member community.
Medication options include Mounjaro, Wegovy injection and the Wegovy tablet. Juniper’s weight-loss pharmacy service is provided by Fill Function UK Limited and is regulated by the General Pharmaceutical Council.
The app includes weight tracking and nutrition and exercise resources, with a particular emphasis on protein intake and strength training. Juniper also provides a member community.
Specialist health coaching is available as an optional paid add-on. Juniper says members who choose it receive support from their own dietitian through the app.
The consultation process
Juniper’s current process starts with an online eligibility questionnaire covering lifestyle and medical history. Juniper says eligibility is then determined during a consultation with one of its prescribers, who can ask follow-up questions and recommend a medication and dosage schedule where treatment is clinically appropriate.
Juniper currently advertises a fully refundable 1:1 clinician consultation to determine eligibility. If its prescribing team decides a patient is ineligible, Juniper says the initial payment is refunded.
The service is remote and app-based. Juniper’s published information does not describe a routine face-to-face clinic appointment.
Pricing breakdown
Juniper’s medication pricing varies by treatment and dose. The core programme includes medication where prescribed, clinical care and app-based tracking tools. Specialist health coaching is currently an optional add-on rather than part of every standard plan.

The good: genuine strengths
Juniper had a Trustpilot score of 4.5 out of 5 from more than 13,500 reviews when checked in September 2026. Trustpilot’s current review summary highlights frequent praise for staff and support, while also recording some complaints about response delays, billing or communication issues and delivery problems.
Juniper’s programme includes nutrition, exercise and strength-training content rather than medication alone, and its current service provides ongoing access to clinical support through the app.
There is also published research using Juniper UK patient data. A 2024 peer-reviewed retrospective study in Diabetes, Obesity and Metabolism analysed 1,882 patients who met the study’s follow-up criteria and reported mean weight loss of 10.73% at around five months. The authors also highlighted an important limitation: 77.3% of eligible patients did not meet the study’s inclusion criteria, mainly because follow-up data were incomplete. More recent Juniper UK research has also been published, including a 12-month tirzepatide cohort study indexed by PubMed.
The not so good: honest weaknesses
Negative Trustpilot reviews include complaints about delays in getting assistance, billing or communication errors and occasional delivery problems. These sit alongside a much larger volume of positive reviews, so they should be read as reported customer experiences rather than proof that every customer will encounter the same issues.
Juniper is a remote service, so people who specifically want routine in-person appointments may prefer a different model.
Health coaching is no longer automatically included in every standard plan. It is offered as a separate specialist add-on, which matters if personalised dietitian support is one of the main reasons you are considering Juniper.
Juniper’s published research also shows that adherence can be a challenge in real-world digital weight-management programmes. In the 2024 UK study cited above, only 22.7% of eligible patients met the follow-up criteria used for the final analysis.
Who Juniper suits best
Juniper is most likely to suit people who are comfortable using an app-based service, want clinical support and lifestyle content alongside medication, and value home delivery and a member community.
It may also appeal to people who want access to both injectable and oral Wegovy options, subject to a prescriber’s assessment of what is clinically appropriate. Personalised dietitian-led health coaching is available for people who want an additional layer of support, but it is an optional add-on.
Who Juniper probably does not suit
Juniper is less likely to suit people who want routine face-to-face clinic appointments or who do not want to manage treatment through an app-based service.
It is also worth understanding the difference between the standard programme and optional health coaching before joining. If your main priority is dedicated dietitian support, check the current coaching terms as well as the medication plan.
How to verify Juniper is legitimate
Juniper’s current regulatory information states that its main clinical services are provided by Fill Function UK Limited and regulated by the Care Quality Commission under provider ID 1-22947623675.
Its weight-loss pharmacy service is also provided by Fill Function UK Limited and is regulated by the General Pharmaceutical Council under pharmacy registration number 9011842.
Juniper Technologies UK Limited is a separate affiliate company that operates the Juniper-branded platform and assists with marketing and payment handling. This distinction is set out in Juniper’s current terms and regulatory disclosures.
Regulatory and advertising history
Juniper has been the subject of several upheld Advertising Standards Authority rulings concerning the promotion of prescription-only weight-loss medicines.
On 9 July 2025, the ASA upheld a ruling over a paid Google search ad that promoted prescription-only weight-loss treatment to the public.
On 8 April 2026, the ASA published three further upheld rulings. One concerned paid posts in Facebook weight-loss groups that were not clearly identifiable as marketing and promoted prescription-only medicines. A second concerned a paid Facebook ad involving a new mother, which the ASA found socially irresponsible and also in breach of rules on promoting prescription-only medicines. A third concerned paid Instagram Black Friday advertising that promoted prescription-only medicines and created an undue sense of urgency.
Separately, the MHRA considered a complaint about Juniper’s advertising in December 2025 and did not uphold it. The MHRA said Juniper nevertheless acknowledged that some areas of its website could be improved and committed to reviewing them for clarity.
Verdict
Juniper is an established UK digital weight-management service with a CQC-regulated clinical provider, a GPhC-regulated pharmacy service, a large volume of customer reviews and published research using Juniper UK patient data.
Its standard programme now needs to be understood separately from its specialist health-coaching add-on. The service provides medication where prescribed, clinical care, app-based tracking and lifestyle content, while dedicated dietitian coaching costs extra.
The regulatory record should also form part of any assessment. Juniper has had multiple upheld ASA rulings concerning weight-loss advertising, while a separate MHRA complaint considered in December 2025 was not upheld.
